Meet Our Senior Pastor
Pastor Israel Dennard Blake
Israel Dennard Blake is currently serving in the capacity of Senior Pastor at Disciples of Jesus Ministries. Pastor Blake has a heart for serving his community to bring unification and glory to God’s Kingdom.
Pastor Blake began his service under the leadership of his parents, Drs. Israel and Barbara Blake. A transplant from Plant City, Florida, he has always worked hard and availed himself to the aid of those in need. From janitorial work to playing the drums, wherever needed, “Denny” has made himself available. In 2009, he answered one of the most important calls to servanthood by accepting the Senior/Lead Pastor of Disciples of Jesus Ministries’ position.
Driven to do and inspire more, he has added to his responsibilities:
- Mentor for at-risk youth in the Thomas County/Thomasville area
- Board Member for Connection Church Coalition
- Board of Directors for One Heartbeat/InsideOut Nation
- Strategic Planning Board for Community Transformation
- Development & Implementation Team for Spark Thomasville
- Former Board Member for Noble Road Media Group
- Former Member of Thomasville Crime Stoppers
- Pastor “Denny” is intentional about seeing the community he lives in and serves thrive.
The father of five has instilled into the hearts of all who know and love him that family is his first ministry. He is indeed a devoted family man who leads with his wife (Chandra) at his side. Passionate about kingdom work, driven to help rebuild the community one individual at a time, Pastor Denny Blake is leaving an indelible mark in Thomas County.
