Do It Now! #Exit

  -

We are so thankful for the way God showed up on this past Sunday! We serve a victorious God who has never lost and will never lose a battle. Because of the greatness of our God, we can confidently declare the end of heaviness, darkness, and defeat. We can proclaim the joy of the Lord is here.

Pastor Denny opened with prophetic ministry and reminded us that the Lord said this is the season to purge. He admonished us to leave frustration, condemnation, and the like and to do it now! He stated that procrastination results from fear or phobia. He reminded us that while we may delay, time will not. From our foundational text of Luke 13:6-9 NLT, we learned that procrastination is delaying to another time what we should be doing now. Oftentimes, we want to wait for a good time, but there’s never a good time. We must deal with our issues. If we practice wrong, we’ll get wrong results. We must dig deeper. We can’t pair bad habits with a new way of thinking.

In addition to telling us to act, our pastor encouraged us to pray about the following areas:

  1. Relationships (non-marital)
  2. Health (physical, mental, emotional, spiritual)
  3. Education/Occupation

We simply can’t get to our next step procrastinating. Pastor Denny told us that procrastination is the art of keeping up with yesterday and avoiding today. We must look forward to tomorrow. There’s freedom over our lives when we move forward on the things God has told us. Bad habits will be removed. We are the righteousness of Christ. We are who God says we are. There’s no need to wait.
